The New England LDS Single Adult Conference aims to foster community and connection among single adults in the region and beyond, with a welcoming space for spiritual growth and friendship.

This conference is for ALL single members age 36 and above. It is being put on by a committee of members with ages ranging from their 30’s to their 80’s. We want to make it special and meaningful for you!

Will There Be Anyone My Age?
To help ensure we meet the needs of each age group we will be coordinating activities and meals by age groups as much as possible.

Workshops available from our wonderful speakers:

Ancestry DNA – Taught by Lisa Andre
Get a behind the scenes look at how Ancestry, 23andMe, and other companies verify your ethnicity through their DNA tests. This workshop provides an overview of how DNA is used and what this means for discovering your relatives and ancestors in family history.

The Atonement of Jesus Christ – Taught by Virginia Saylor
Come and join this class for a discussion of practical application of the Atonement. This class will discuss personal relationships with the Savior, how God is in the details, and what it means to have a true change of heart. It will also go over what it means to understand the true nature of God and how to build a relationship with him.

New England Church History – Taught by Theresa and Wayne McDougall
Learn about the rich early church history in the New England area, even some only fifteen minutes away from where the conference is being held! Learn about Parley P. Pratt’s mission in Holliston, the conversion of Brigham Young’s Family, and other wonderful and interesting connections to the Smith family. This course will be a sister class to our Saturday Afternoon Scavenger Hunt for those who choose to sign up!

Patriarchal Blessings – Taught by Patriarch Paul Ferrin
Ever wonder what your patriarchal blessing means for you? Want to discover how you can implement it in your daily life? Need some clarity on parts that haven’t come to pass?

Our Relationship with Christ and Mental Health – Taught by Lindsy Caberra-Revolorio
Our greatest pursuit while we are here on this earth is to develop a strong relationship with Our Savior. However, for those who struggle with mental health issues, whether it is temporary grief from an event or more chronic issues, it can be debilitating and difficult to navigate. This class we will discuss how to peel back the layers of your relationship and how to allow Christ and His Atonement help you through your mental health struggles.

Understanding our Divine Identity: Your Relationship with your Body and Heavenly Parents – Taught by Wendy Hansen
How do you treat your body? Are you kind to it? Or do you struggle with feelings of inadequacy compared to the world’s standards? Have you ever wondered what the importance of having a body means in your eternal progression? In this workshop we will cover the important connection between understanding the character of God and how to encourage a healthy relationship with our bodies.

Science and Spirituality – Taught by Kirstin Cooprider
Society seems bent on keeping science and spirituality separate, but what if they were all part of the same thing? This class will discuss the beauty of science and spirituality co-existing and how to break down the notion that the two are mutually exclusive. Consider the awe of the heavens by learning about space. Allow the wonder and awe of space to reinforce your appreciation for Heavenly Father, who must be the ultimate scientist.

Optional Sightseeing

October is a truly beautiful time to visit New England—crisp air, vibrant foliage, and the scent of autumn in the breeze make the region especially inviting. If your schedule allows, you may want to consider arriving a day early or staying a day later to explore the area. There’s so much to see and do!

Info on the Boston Temple

The Boston Temple is located at 100 Hinckley Way in Belmont, Massachusetts 02478-2135 and is 35 miles from the Conference location at 91 Jordan Rd in Franklin, Massachusetts.
